What Is a Flagship Church Center? The Model That’s Multiplying Hope

In the most spiritually dark and forgotten corners of the world, something unexpected is happening.

The Church is rising.

But not through Western-led missions or short-term programs. What’s multiplying in South Sudan, Sudan, and Congo is something entirely different: indigenous, sustainable, locally-led movements of God.

At the center of it all is Empower One’s strategic model: the Flagship Church Multiplication Center.

Why Flagships?

In regions where the gospel has never been preached, and where persecution, poverty, and war have devastated communities, hope is multiplying. But not because outsiders are showing up. It’s because local leaders are stepping in.

We believe the most powerful expression of love is not doing for others what they can do themselves. It’s equipping them to lead.

That’s why we’re building Flagships.

A Flagship is more than a building. It’s a locally-led ministry hub designed to equip, multiply, and send.

Each Flagship serves as:

  • A Training Center – where students at NEATS (Northeast Africa Theological Seminary) are equipped in theology, church planting, and practical ministry.
  • A Launchpad – where local church planters, evangelists, and women’s leaders are sent into unreached regions.
  • A Community Beacon – providing a space for gathering, worship, discipleship, and humanitarian outreach.

“A Flagship doesn’t just change one church. It changes an entire region.”

What’s Inside a Flagship?

Each Flagship Church Center includes:

  • A vibrant, disciple-making local church
  • A NEATS extension campus for training pastors and church planters
  • A Christian school to raise up the next generation
  • A clean water well to serve the community
  • A pharmacy
  • A radio station broadcasting gospel truth

Every piece of the Flagship is locally led, culturally rooted, and strategically designed to last. Churches are taught to give generously. Leaders are trained to build wisely. Communities are empowered with tools and dignity—not dependency.

Sustainability and Dignity at the Core

We don’t send in outsiders to lead. We raise up local leaders from within.

From the beginning, each Flagship is designed to become self-sustaining, governed by indigenous leadership, fueled by local generosity, and expanded by those who already know the language, culture, and cost of following Jesus.

This is what makes the model scalable, sustainable, and biblically faithful.

What’s Happening Now?

  • 4 Flagships are currently active and multiplying, with more underway
  • 1 New location is beginning with a clean water system
  • Hundreds of churches have been planted by Flagship graduates
  • Thousands of people are hearing the gospel for the first time

Flagships are transforming regions that were once considered unreachable.

The Vision: 15 Flagships by 2032

Empower One’s bold prayer and goal is to see 15 Flagship Church Centers established by 2032, each one multiplying into 50+ churches, sending out local leaders, and becoming a beacon of hope in its region.

This is the future of the Church in Northeast Africa.

We’re not building monuments.

We’re launching movements.

Want to See One for Yourself?

From jungle baptisms to training sessions in cement classrooms, the Spirit of God is on the move. We’d love to show you what a Flagship looks like through stories, photos, or even a trip on the ground.

Because every village deserves a gospel witness.

Let’s multiply hope. Together.
