Kajo Keji Flagship DedicationTrip

A Celebration of Faith and Multiplication in Kajo Keji

In May of this year, our team traveled to Kajo Keji, South Sudan, for a week we will never forget—a week filled with joy, movement, worship, and mission.

At the heart of the trip was the dedication of the Kajo Keji Flagship Multiplication Center, a milestone years in the making. The celebration was marked with joy. As the sound of drums and brass echoed through the air, a marching band led the procession. Guests had traveled from across the region and beyond to be part of the celebration. Over 3,000 people gathered. It felt like all of Kajo Keji had come out to witness what God is doing. We even made the national news in South Sudan!

The dedication ceremony was vibrant and full of life. Distinguished guests brought greetings, pastors offered words of blessing, and our team had the privilege of sharing the story behind the vision. Together, we praised God for His faithfulness and looked ahead with faith for the multiplication to come.

Throughout the week, our team, joined by mission partners from Riverland Hills Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, had the opportunity to visit surrounding villages, encourage local leaders, and share the gospel with those who had never heard. In a place marked by conflict and rebuilding, we saw light breaking through. Hope is rising. And lives are being changed.

One of the greatest joys was spending time with our Empower One staff, both American and African, in person. We shared meals, prayers, long drives on bumpy roads, and a deep sense of unity in the work God has called us to do together. For many of us, this time together was a gift, an answer to prayer and a reminder that God is building something beautiful through this team.

This Flagship Church in Kajo Keji is more than a building. It’s a multiplying hub for church planting, leadership development, outreach, and community care. From here, the gospel will go out to the unreached. Disciples will be made. Leaders will be equipped. And churches will be planted across the region.

We returned home with full hearts and renewed vision. The mission is clear. The harvest is ready. And the best is yet to come.
