Our History

We empower local leaders in the hard places of Africa to establish churches among the unreached and under-engaged peoples for generations to come.

In 2005, after a 23-year civil war in Sudan, we began training local church planters to bring the good news of Jesus to the unreached tribes of this war-torn land. What started as a bold step of faith has become a Spirit-led movement.

As the local church grew, so did the reach of the ministry. Today, Empower One operates a dynamic church-planting Bible school with multiple extension sites across the region. Our footprint has expanded into five countries, even as we’ve endured a second civil war, supported thousands of refugees, and witnessed God’s faithfulness again and again.

Through it all, we remain anchored in Christ—abiding in Him and partnering with Him—to see more churches planted, more lives restored, and more unreached people encounter His peace in the years to come.
