Steve serves as Empower One’s Director of Field Ministry, helping to implement strategy and distribute tools and resources to the field. He also helps on the US side with systems and processes.

He began working with Mike Congrove as an intern in 2007 when they both served at e3 Partners. The two worked on a few projects together and took a few trips to Sudan. Steve quickly developed a love for the Sudanese people and a desire to serve alongside them to advance the gospel.

“I love connecting with our partners; hearing ways God is using them to advance the gospel and how we can come alongside and assist them to do that even more.”

Steve’s family attended church as a kid, but it wasn’t until he was in Jr. High that a friend of his kept talking about this “relationship” she had with Jesus. A group of friends continued talking about faith. Steve had a knowledge about Jesus, but never a growing relationship with God. It was later that year that he began to truly follow Jesus.

Steve is married to Mollie and has two boys, Granger and Tucker. They live just outside Gainesville, Florida.
