The son of a pastor, David Kaya has a heart and a calling to pull his people in South Sudan and Sudan out of darkness into the saving Light of Christ.
“My vision is to bring this light to as many of the 20 million Sudanese and South Sudanese who are unreached as possible.”
His specific heart for pastors led him to create a Bible School in Kajo Keji, South Sudan.
David is married to Gloria and has five beautiful daughters and one son, Nancy, Cathy, Marklin Ruth, Taylor, Harmony and Mike. He is a graduate of Global Theological Seminary in Jinja, Uganda.
Pushed out of his home of Sudan during the civil war that lasted from 1983 to 2005, David began planting churches in Northern Uganda in the 1990s.
He started as an EvangeCube trainer with e3 Partners in 2004, and quickly moved into the National Director role in 2005. In October 2012, he helped launch Empower One’s work as National Director.
Since then, David has overseen a strategy that has produced the following:
