We planted our 33rd church in Congo yesterday.
In Gumba, we started a cell group two months ago with 15 new believers. Some of these went out to share with other people. Yesterday (Sunday), Gumba had its first service and 57 people were in attendance.
Patrick Tuwambe, a student of the Extension Center in Panzudu is now leading this new church. Pray that God opens the eyes of the people to see Him and experience Him in a bigger way. Pray for land where a church can be set up as this village has high population but they are not exposed to many things. Pray for Tuwambe as he travels long distances on Wednesdays and Sundays to teach and disciple the people. Then between 15 and 17, we will do an exchange of pastors to various locations to encourage all our local churches within.
On the 20th, we shall convene to share experiences of all these pastors. Also on the 20th, 60 women from 20 churches will hold a seminar in Panzudu church and thereafter elect a cluster women coordinator.
Pray for us:
Remember our pastors because many of them need support, for women leadership as majority of them are not educated and it is difficult to work with some illiterate women. Next year, the church plans to have adult education for women.
